. The Candlelight Inn is a beautifully restored Bed & Breakfast built at the turn of the century by Leaming Rice. This Queen Anne, Victorian style structure served as the family home for many years and remained in the Rice family until it was purchased in 1985. Today couples seeking a romantic getaway can enjoy the Candlelight Inn. Authentic antique furnishings that include an 1855 sofa and an Eastlake piano are yours to enjoy as you relax in the parlor. Breakfast is an occasion at the inn. It is served in the main dining room amid a variety of antiquity that will delight even the most ardent collectors. You will find a built-in oak breakfront, chestnut pocket doors, a beautiful 19th century dining room suite and many fine collectibles. The spacious porch provides just the right spot to take in the view and be surrounded by a cool seashore breeze. Take a deep breath and the hint of salt air is yours for as long as you care to stay. The wraparound veranda makes the perfect place to shade the noonday sun and savor a short respite. Sit back and unwind in comfortable wicker furniture or rocking chair, or cozy up in an old-fashioned style porch swing, or snooze in the hammock. The outdoor sundeck features comfortable patio furniture and a new hot tub. As a romantic interlude the innkeepers suggest that you try the hot tub under a moonlit sky. All guest rooms are individually decorated with brass or antique wood beds, period pieces of oak, walnut, pine and mahogany. You will find oriental rugs, old prints and lace to treasure during your stay. All guest rooms feature private baths, and several have a double whirlpool tub. Most rooms have ceiling fans, and all are air-conditioned. **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals that are staying in the Premium room.
