Montana vacation rentals are becoming more and more popular as an option over expensive hotels. The recent Montana condo boom and construction of countless high-end luxury condominium buildings has made the market for vacationers a whole lot nicer. A person might get a weekly rental in a brand new luxury condo for half the price of a hotel where the rooms are a quarter of the size.

Most Montana condo hotels being built are of four- to five-star quality. The reason is two-fold: 1) There is demand for the types of services provided by four- and five-star properties, and 2) Oceanfront land is so costly that it makes more sense for the developer to put in a luxury property with units that he can sell at a premium price rather than lower priced units.

The common wisdom in the industry suggests a Montana condominium-hotel property must work as a hotel if it has any chance of working as a condominium hotel. It needs the same strengths: good location and brand, strong management and staff, essential services, attractive amenities.
