Once referred to as the castle by residents of Bellevue, Mont Rest towers over the Mississippi River in stately elegance. Built in 1893 by a young land developer and entrepreneur, this bed and breakfast has a rich and varied history. Though much of the original decor and furnishings were destroyed in a fire, vintage woodwork and chandeliers still grace the property, and furniture acquired through painstaking worldwide searches by the current innkeeper graces each room in Mont Rest.
